The Darwin Festival has come a long way. The festival program reflects the vibrant multicultural heart of the northernmost capital and this year was no exception. From the gentle, prayerful songs of the Tiwi Strong Womens Group to the raw power of Emma Donovan to the hip hop stylings of Culture Connect.

Bush Bands Business is a mentoring program for Aboriginal musicians. Reaching it´s third year in 2010, BBB is an opportunity for select bands to learn more about the music industry. The initiative is also the precursor for Bush Bands Bash, an Indigenous music showcase event as part of the Alice Desert Festival. This year 18 bands applied, and six were successful.
